No, you do not need to be able to code to get in Cybersecurity. A lot of Cybersecurity jobs do not require you to be able to code. A few are a Governance Risk and Compliance Consultant, Technical Sales Roles, Help Desk Support Roles, and SOC analyst Roles.
There are lots of ways of getting into the Cybersecurity industry and having a degree is not essential. If you are a beginner a apprenticeship or degree apprenticeship can be a great start to help you get your foot in the door at a large tech company. Me personally - I had a degree in Marketing and now am a cybersecurity consultant at a FTSE 500 company.
AI getting more popular means we need more people to make sure our data stays safe. This doesn't take away jobs; it actually creates more in cybersecurity. AI works with data, and we want to keep that safe from bad actors. Companies worry about using AI because they don't want hackers to steal important info. So, we need experts in cybersecurity to protect our data. You can find more about this on my TikTok.
